It seems that every day, something major happens in our lives or in the world. Each of these events elicits a mental, physical, or emotional reaction. Often, we feel helpless, and react with fear and negativity. Breema offers us the possibility to respond harmoniously to whatever happens, instead of draining our energy in reactive ways that can make things worse.
By bringing the mind to the activity of the body, for example, when we actually experience our breathing or the movements of our body, we move away from feelings of alienation and helplessness, towards a recognition of the unshakable unity of Existence. We can experience that, despite the constantly changing outer world, there is an undisturbable harmony that we are inherently a part of.
To access this understanding, we need to practice. Breema bodywork, Self-Breema exercises, and Breema’s Nine Principles of Harmony are excellent practical tools that enable us to become present in daily life. We can start by receiving a Breema treatment, and continue our practice in Breema classes. Eventually, we are able to be present in more activities of our daily life—brushing teeth, making food, doing the dishes. We develop the possibility to bring body, mind, and feelings into balance at our job, in our relationships, even in the midst of stressful events.
